International Women’s Day Conference - March 4

Turkish-German University hosted the International Women’s Day Conference on March 4, 2025, as part of the Schlüsselrolle 2025 - March 8 Women’s Rights Summit. The event, held at the School of Foreign Languages Conference Hall, brought together academics, students, and representatives from civil society organizations.
The conference featured distinguished speakers, including Prof. Dr. Oğuz Polat, Head of the Forensic Medicine Department at Acıbadem University’s Faculty of Medicine and Founding President of the İMDAT Association; Nazan Moroğlu, Lecturer at MEF University Faculty of Law and Vice President of the Lawyers’ Foundation; and Prof. Dr. Ali Kemal Yıldız, Head of the Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law Department at Turkish-German University Faculty of Law.
During the event, legal aspects of combating violence against women, efforts to raise social awareness, and academic perspectives on possible solutions were discussed. Academics, students, and guests had the opportunity to listen to and engage in discussions on current issues related to women's rights.
