Visit of Associate Professor Dr. Ryohei Utsunomiya from Kanto Gakuin University to the Faculty of Law of Turkish-German University

Associate Professor Dr. Ryohei Utsunomiya, a faculty member at the Faculty of Law of Kanto Gakuin University, Japan, visited the Faculty of Law of Turkish-German University. During the visit, Associate Professor Dr. Utsunomiya was provided with an overview of recent digital developments in Turkish civil procedure law and the National Judiciary Informatics System (UYAP). The discussions focused in particular on the digitalisation of judicial proceedings in Türkiye, as well as the role and practical significance of UYAP within the Turkish judicial system. Comparisons were also drawn with digital judicial practices in Japan, providing an opportunity to assess current developments in the legal systems of both countries from a comparative perspective. At the conclusion of the meeting, the importance of further cooperation between the two universities in this field, as well as the development of joint projects and initiatives, was emphasised. The visit concluded with a tour of the Moot Court Room of the Faculty of Law and the University Library.
