Samet Akbulut, Bachelor 2019, Lawyer - Ernst & Young
In 2019, I graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Turkish-German University. In 2019, I started my legal internship at the Istanbul Bar Association. After completing my legal internship, I completed my advocacy internship in the Tax Controversy Department of the Küçükkaya & Sağlı Attorney Partnership, which operates within EY and where I completed my summer internship in 2018. Currently, I am working as a senior lawyer in the same department.
Tax law is an area of law that is related to all areas of law. At the same time its structure requires a strong knowledge of public law. Thanks to the qualified education I received at the Turkish-German University in areas such as commercial law, corporate law, criminal law, constitutional law, especially in the areas of tax and administrative law, I can more easily identify problems in my daily practice and find solutions for them. That is why, the qualified academic staff of the faculty definitely provides a strong foundation for practicing law.
In addition, the German law courses at the university provide great insight into the application and interpretation of the law. That is why my university is ahead of other universities when it comes to comparing legal systems. I am confident that in the coming years my faculty will become one of the best law schools in Turkey thanks to its close relations with Germany and its qualified academic staff.
